Families With Kids
Barossa Shiraz Estate is perfect for getting away with your family, and these are just some of the things that you can do.
Day One:
After you have had your bacon and eggs for breakfast, take the bikes and ride to the Lyndoch bakery for a hot chocolate and slice of German Cake. There are bike tracks all around the valley so its a perfect place to get the kids moving.
Now that your morning exercise is done, its time to hop in the car and head to the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company in Tanunda. Have lunch at the cafe and buy some wonderful chocolate to take home with you. You can even view the chocolate being made. Just around the corner is Barossa Bowland where it is time for a family game of either 10 pin bowling or mini golf – or both! If you have little ones you can take them to the indoor play centre at Impact Kids World.
Head on into Tanunda and take a stroll down the main street. Grab the kids an ice cream Barossa Beans and Cream. Finish up at Z wines where the parents can end the day with a wine tasting flight and the kids with a food and non-alcoholic drink flight.
This is just one day in the Barossa and there are still plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Whispering Wall, a play at the Tanunda playground or Angaston Adventure Station or jumping on a Segway at Seppeltsfield.
Their are also many family friendly cellar doors with kids food and games. A coupled of the best are Whistler Wines who have play equipment and a kangaroo sanctuary and David Franz Cellardoor who have lawn games, chickens and a free to play arcade machine.
