The Barossa is one of Australia’s premier wine regions, featuring 150 wineries and 80 cellar doors and is home to some of the world’s most famous wines and finest restaurants.
Day One:
Check into your accommodation at Barossa Shiraz Estate and settle in with a complimentary glass of Barossa Valley wine, taking in the beautiful scenery. Then head out to dinner at fermentAsian, an award winning South East Asian fine dining restaurant in the heart of Tanunda.
Day Two:
This morning enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast at your leisure in your cottage. Provisions are provided by the Lyndoch Butcher and Tanunda Bakery.
After breakfast it is time to see what the Barossa looks like from the skies with a 30 minute helicopter ride with Bridgette from Barossa Helicopters. Once you are back safely on the ground, jump in the car and grab arguably one of the best coffee’s Lyndoch has to offer at the Table Cafe. Then head down the road for a wine tasting at Kies Family Wines.
Lunch will then be at the award-winning, two chefs hat Atrium restaurant at Hentley Farm. The discovery tasting menu by head chef Kyle Johns takes you on a sensory journey of local seasonal produce. Each course is matched perfectly to a premium Hentley Farm wines. Wander to the cellar door after lunch for more wine tasting or a relaxing glass on the porch.
On your way back to Barossa Shiraz Estate you could stop off at Chateau Yaldara for a glass on the lawns of the Chateau while the sunsets.
Spend the evening relaxing in your accommodation. Order a gourmet local produce platter to be delivered to your cottage. Enjoy the spa baths and a movie or sit out under the stars.
Day Three:
Awaken again to a delicious self-served breakfast in the comfort of your cottage before checking out and heading off to tick another experience off of your Barossa bucket list.
Visit Seppeltsfield and do the Taste your birth year port experience. Whilst you are their take a browse around the Jam Factory and pick up luxurious skin care products at Vasse Virgin. Make sure to get some iconic photographs with the palm trees on the famous Seppelstfield Road before heading home.
